Cervical or cervicogenic headaches are headaches caused by abnormalities in the cervical (neck and head) region. They are frequently caused by joint or muscular dysfunction in the neck, and may be precipitated by poor posture, stress/tension or a combination of these. These may be managed by physiotherapists in much the same way as other musculoskeletal disorders Рcorrect diagnosis, identification of causative factors, management of joint and muscle components and implementastion preventative measures and exercises.
